Marketing Coordinator

Main Purpose of Job:

To plan, organize, and execute high-impact events, including media engagements and new product launches, that showcase the company's vehicles and brand. The role aims to create memorable experiences that drive brand awareness, generate positive media coverage, and support sales objectives for new and existing product lines.

Minimum Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field
  • Professional certification in event planning is advantageous

Knowledge & Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in event planning, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Proven track record of managing product launches and media events
  • Experience in working with press and media outlets
  • Understanding of automotive industry trends and media landscape
  • Previous OEM experience (at least 2 years) is preferred

Special Conditions:

  • Willingness to travel frequently for events
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Comfort with public speaking and media interactions
  • Understanding and respect for different and international cultures

  • Basic financial training/understanding for budget management

Principal Areas of Accountability:

  • Plan and execute new product launch events, showcasing vehicles to media, dealerships, and VIP guests
  • Organize press and media engagements, including press conferences, media drives, and product demonstrations
  • Coordinate logistics for auto shows and exhibitions, managing vehicle displays and brand presence
  • Develop and maintain event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness while delivering high-quality experiences
  • Collaborate with the marketing and PR teams to align event messaging with overall brand strategy
  • Create detailed event timelines, run sheets, and briefing documents for all stakeholders
  • Manage relationships with vendors, venues, and suppliers
  • Coordinate with internal departments (Product, Engineering, Sales) to ensure accurate information is presented at events
  • Oversee on-site event operations, including setup, execution, and breakdown
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize media attendance and coverage at events
  • Coordinate vehicle logistics for events, ensuring proper transportation and display of demo units
  • Collect and analyze post-event feedback and media coverage for reporting and improvement
  • Maintain an event calendar and communicate upcoming activities to relevant departments
  • Ensure all events comply with brand guidelines and company policies
  • Assist in creating event-specific marketing materials and press kits
  • Provide regular reports on event performance, including attendance, media coverage, and ROI
  • Manage community engagement during events across social media platforms
  • Collaborate with the digital marketing team to create content for social media coverage of events and product launches
  • Obtain supplier quotes, write applications, load and process supplier payments timeously on OA
  • Ensure Brand Division supplier accounts are up to date
